Become A Gold Circle Award Judge

The Gold Circle Awards (GCA) Committee is composed of member volunteers who will assist ASAE with administering and promoting the GCA.  The awards recognizes association who’s Marketing, Membership, and Communication  programs exemplify the effective and innovative use of strategies and tactics to reach their target audiences.

Gold Circle Award Judge Eligibility

The Gold Circle Award Committee is comprised of Marketing, Membership, Communication and Component Relations Section Council members. The GCA Committee seeks experienced volunteers to serve as judges for the 2019 Gold Circle Award program.

Judges should be able to devote between five to ten hours (depending on the number of entries per category) between February 25, 2019 and March 25, 2019 to review and score entries on one of the categories. Judges will be required to participate in and view an orientation video, and participate in a conference call in April to choose a winner for their category. In between those two calls, judges will be responsible for independently reviewing and scoring entries in their assigned category.

The Gold Circle Award Committee is looking for seasoned association professionals with expertise in the following areas:

·             Advocacy Campaign

·                 Convention/Meetings Marketing Campaign

·                  E-Magazine 

·                  E-Newsletter

·                  Media/Public Relations Campaign 

·                  Member Retention Campaign

·                  Membership Dues/Restructuring Campaign 

·              Membership Recruitment Campaign

·                  Member/Volunteer/Engagement Campaign

·                  New Product/Service Launch Campaign 

·                  Print Magazine

·                  Rebranding Campaign

·                  Sponsorship/Exhibits/Advertising Campaign

·                  Video 

·                  Website/App


In exchange for their time, Gold Circle judges get an inside look at some of the most innovative and outstanding marketing, membership and communications programs in the nonprofit and association profession. Judges are recognized for their contributions to the competition, with a certificate of participation and their names are publicized within the printed program for the Gold Circle Award ceremony at the 2019 Marketing, Membership & Communications Conference.

The call for judges will open December 17, 2018 and closes on February 8, 2019. Association professionals interested in serving as judges for the Gold Circle Award competition should fill out the form posted in Collaborate within the Volunteer Opportunities, and will be contacted by the Gold Circle Award Committee with additional information.
